Hillel Glazer, lead author of SEI Technical Report, "CMMI or Agile: Why Not Embrace Both!"

Hillel's been involved with process improvement since 1988 as an engineering college intern for NASA-Goddard. He's had careers in process-oriented engineering that included manufacturing engineering at NAVAIR; Requirements, Risk, Configuration, Metrics, Quality and Program management at Booz-Allen, and Operations Management for an application service provider (during the dot-com boom). Throughout his earlier career, Hillel implemented various "standards" for processes, quality, and process improvement including ISO 9000, Mil-Q-9858A, and CMM. Since 2001, Hillel has been specifically focusing his attention on implementing and appraising CMM at first and then CMMI. While doing research Hillel found an under-represented class of companies well-suited to his experience: smaller settings, and those using Agile methods. Ever since, he has dedicated his efforts to serving them. Hillel is the Principal and CEO of Entinex, Inc., an SEI Partner. He's a Certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser, SCAMPI B&C Team leader and an Introduction to CMMI instructor. He has extensive experience speaking and writing on Agile+CMMI, is lead author of SEI Technical Report, "CMMI or Agile: Why Not Embrace Both!", is outspoken in any setting and a champion for change. He is also the author of agilecmmi.com and the brutally honest, totally hip, no-nonsense CMMIFAQ.info. His non-work interests include enjoying time with his family, flying, playing and composing piano music, listening to music, fitness, and figuring out how to work less, play more, and still support the family.

Dr. Ahmed Sidky, the godfather of Agile in the Middle East, aka Dr. Agile

Along with many years of experience in software development, Ahmed Sidky has a Ph.D. in value-based process frameworks for effective agile adoption. Ahmed’s work has gained popularity and respect in the agile community as a pragmatic approach for organizations of all sizes attempting to adopt agile. Ahmed is frequently referred to as, Dr. Agile, on account of developing a free online agile readiness assessment tool named Doctor Agile (DoctorAgile.com.) He is a frequent speaker at numerous national and international agile conferences as well as the co-author of a new book on practical agile adoption titled Becoming Agile. Ahmed helps guide small and large organizations during their transition to agile software development, and enjoys coaching and educating agile teams around the world.
